The Staff of Cincinnati Soccer Talk is bringing back our End of Season Awards for the 2018 FC Cincinnati season. On Monday we released our 2018 Fan-Vote Player of the Year Emmanuel Ledesma. On Tuesday we announced our choice for Goal of the Year. We’re taking a lighter approach today with our 2018 Funny Awards. Stay tuned for our Moment of the Year on Thursday and 2018 Staff-Voted Player of the Year on Friday.
In the spirit of these end-of-season awards, here’s a different approach — some lighter moments from this season. CST compiled these with a sense of humor in mind. And there are also some awards that aren’t necessarily funny but really couldn’t fit anywhere else.
We hope to make these awards an annual tradition. But they need a name. We’ve labeled them the Funny Awards. They also could be something a little more formal, like the Laughing Lion Awards or something altogether different. Send us some of your ideas, and we’ll pick a name to use next year.
