FC Cincinnati forward Sean “Ugo” Okoli is your 2016 USL MVP Award Winner. Okoli was announced as the winner of the award on Friday to wrap up the USL’s Week of Honors.

“I’m very happy to win this award,” said Okoli. “I take pride in pushing myself to be one of the best on the pitch so I’m happy that this award reflects all the hard work I put in,” said Okoli. “I want to thank FC Cincinnati and the fans for all the support throughout the year and a special thanks to my teammates, the most talented group of guys in the league without a doubt.”

Okoli was the league’s Golden Boot Award winner tallying 16 goals on the season to go along with his All-USL First Team selection as well. His 35 total points when you count goals and assists also led the league this season.

Other highlights from this season for Okoli include the spectacular scissor kick volley in FC Cincinnati’s inaugural home match against Charlotte. He also scored a brace twice this season, both times coming against FC Montreal.
