Starters Ratings:
Hildebrant – 8 : Not too many shots to keep Mitch busy, but he did well to get off his line when needed. Had one scary moment when he made a play outside of the box, which turned out to work well for a counter.
McMahon (84′) – 7.5 : The right back played well in his return to the starting XI. Most attacks came down his side and he was able to turn the MTL attack away.
Berry – 7.5 : Was physical in the box on headers and stood up the Montréal attack several times. This game has to be difficult as a defender to maintain focus knowing that you will be in possession most of the game. Didn’t have to begin possession with the ball like the Charleston game.
Lee – 7 : Did well starting in Delbridge’s place. Had a couple key clearances, but did have some hiccups early in the match including allowing an easy challenge to go awry. Needs to be more confident at stopping attackers when they are on the dribble.
Polak – 7.5 : Stopped most chances coming down his side of the pitch and was effective linking play forward. Has been putting in some pretty good shifts over the past 6+ matches. This was no exception.
Bone – 7 : Struggled with some passing and would have like to see him dominate the midfield more. Did well in getting the ball forward to his attackers.
Tomaselli (45′) – 6 : Caused a foul that drew a yellow just outside FCC box. Didn’t control midfield as well. I was hoping that this could be a breakout game for Ross, but he just wasn’t clicking. Was subbed out at halftime.
Cummings (73′) – 8 : Displayed much creativity in the attacking end. Gave the MTL defense fits the entire game with his passes, shots and dribbling. Good recognition on the second goal to spring Okoli.
Wiedeman – 8 : Served Okoli’s first goal up on a platter. I really like Wiedeman in the center of the park as he is better seeing passing options ahead of him. High pressed well and turned over MTL quite a bit. A little slow on developing some plays, but overall a good shift. Dynamite #GafferSelfie on Tuesday with Harkes.

McLaughlin (82′) – 7.5 : Must have been the unluckiest of all FCC players on Wednesday. His shots were fractions of inches off on two shots that rang the posts. Could have easily had a brace too with the amount of quality chances that just wouldn’t go. Was creative in his movements in the offensive third and good passes to maintain possession.
Okoli (85′) – 8.5 : Okoli must love Montréal. Ugo has netted 4 of his 11 goals this season vs. the MLS2 side. The first goal was a great one touch shot and the second was placed perfectly. Had a header early in the first saved off the line and drew plays from the keeper on several other opportunities. – Man of the Match – Check out his goals below.
Substitutes
Narbon (46′) – 7 : Displayed good footwork and the ability to make stops on counters. Used his speed to catch up to plays and change possession. Can get a little sloppy on his passes, but an improvement from Saturday.
Stevenson (74′) – 7 : Good shift for the midfielder. Consistent in his passes and he is becoming more aware of where his teammates are likely to be. Nearly had a goal late in the second.
Mohamed (83′) – NR : Gave up possession on a couple touches, but also put in a good dribbling display. Was really hoping to see him earlier as this match could have provided him with added confidence.
Luke (85′) – NR : Late debut. Not challenged greatly.
Spencer (86′) – NR : Continues to be a late sub helping kill off matches. This is another player that I hoped would get a longer run out.
