What a great week it has been to be a fan of the Orange and Blue! Our boys brought home their first win in heart palpitating fashion in Bethlehem. Not to be out done, the front office announced a plan to get youth soccer players to the game for just $1 and that they sold 10,000+ tickets for the home opener. On This Week in FC Cincinnati, we will help prepare you for what you need to help cheer on the club this Saturday night at Nippert by providing insight on club activities and start to answer who we are as a club.
FC Cincinnati Forge First Win- This past Sunday the club traveled to Bethlehem, PA to play Steel FC in their inaugural home opener. After a back and forth 25 minutes, Andrew Wiedeman was able to score the first goal in club history. 10 minutes later Wiedeman was involved again when a give and go sprung Forward Sean Okoli behind the Steel FC backline where he slotted the ball past the keeper. The second half was filled with chances by both teams. Erik Ayuk got Bethlehem on the board in the 90th minutes but a stoppage time equalizer eluded the home team.
