On Thursday, FC Cincinnati, the Charlotte independence and the USL issued press releases stating that Saturday’s game in Charlotte would be postponed. In the statements, the weather was noted as a primary factor, but a small notation on field conditions was mentioned.

Photos have been surfacing online over the past couple days showing the top-dressed field at Ramblewood Stadium. The photo above was taken at 2 pm Friday afternoon.

From what we can gather, the Bermuda surface was seeded and dressed recently. Due to drainage issues with the soil, it looks as if the necessary settling did not occur.

The picture below was taken on Monday at 1 pm. As you can see a dramatic improvement has not occurred.

We hope to provide you with more information on the possible rescheduled game date.

FC Cincinnati will spend their Saturday attending the Kings Hammer Soccer Club’s 21st Annual Special Olympics Spring Soccer Tournament. FCC players will be on hand as Kings Hammer players and coaches serve a volunteer coaches featuring players from Special Olympics Hamilton County and Special Olympics Kentucky.
