On September 9th, it was reported by GiveMeSport’s Tom Bogert that FC Cincinnati were signing defender Miles Robinson to a new contract through the 2027 MLS season, with a club option for 2028. According to Bogert’s report, the terms of Robinson’s deal will make him a Designated Player, and that the club will not be able to buy him down from this designation.

On September 10th, the club officially announced Robinson’s signing, but the terms of the contract were not released.  In the announcement, General Manger Chris Albright said, “He’s elite at so many things when it comes to defending, and I think he continues to improve.” Albright also stated that “He [Robinson] was a free agent with serious interest from some big clubs, and we’re able to retain him, so we’re thrilled that we’re able to do so.”

Robinson originally joined in January 2024, as a free agent from Atlanta United.  He has played 60 matches for FCC in all competitions, scoring two goals, and has made 35 appearances for the US Men’s National Team.
