FC Cincinnati has officially announced the loan for winger Luca Orellano from Brazilian Serie A side Vasco de Gama. The deal also comes with an option to buy

His professionalism and mentality have already made a strong impression, and we look forward to his continued development.”
The Argentinian product appeared in 18 matches in the 2023 regular season for Vasco de Gama, in which he scored once and assisted once.
“I’m proud to join FC Cincinnati,” Orellano said. “I was attracted to this club because of the project they are building, and I really want to give my 100 percent to this club and the fans. I’m very excited to meet all the supporters and play at TQL Stadium.”
The 23-year-old has not played more than 70 percent of the matches while with any of the teams he has played with, with his most significant contribution coming in the 2021 regular season with CA Vélez Sarsfield. During this season of the Liga Professional, Orellano appeared in 24 matches, scoring twice and assisting twice.
Orellano followed that season with a 2022 where he appeared in 22 matches for CA Vélez Sarsfield, scoring once and assisting once.
Overall, Orellano has appeared in a total of 143 matches in all competitions in his career, scoring a total of 14 times and assisting 17 times.
For the vast majority of Orellano’s appearances, he played as a right winger, as he appeared in 92 matches in the spot, according to Transfermarkt. However, Transfermarkt also reported that he appeared in 10 matches as a left winger, five in right midfield, three in attacking midfield, twice at the central forward position nd once as a left back.
Pat Brennan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Orellano is seen as an option at right wingback, so that is certainly an option for him as well.
