First reported by footballsierraleone.net, the loan spell of Victor Mansaray at FC Cincinnati has ended and the forward will return to the Seattle Sounders (MLS). Mansaray, once ranked as the best player in the USL under 20 years old, failed to win a consistent starting spot and has not featured in a match since June 3rd in Rochester.
The reason for the loan recall or the terms of his return to Seattle are still up in the air, but the move was confirmed by a rep at FC Cincinnati late Monday evening.
According to footballsierraleone.net, Victor claims his international call-up to Sierra Leone was the reason for his return. “Seattle wanted me back, I was playing at Seattle before my loan move and after my first international call-up Seattle decided they want me back.” The forward did not feature in the match when Sierra Leone defeated Kenya 2-1
Mansaray only compiled 1 shot over 8 matches for the Orange & Blue. He started 3 matches in USL play at various positions.
