Hello FC Cincinnati fans. What a hectic week it has been for the Orange & Blue. This week the club had 2 away matches to contend with. On Wednesday night they beat Orlando City B 3-1 in a torrential downpour for most of the match. They followed up the win with a 1-1 draw against Harrisburg City Islanders. This week they face the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday in the clubs first Orange Out. Make sure you check out the articles below to catch up on all the action leading to the match Saturday afternoon.

Carl Lindner’s Call to Action- The ownership and management of FC Cincinnati have made no secret of a long term interest in moving to MLS and their management has noticed Cincinnati. Executive Vice President of Communications for MLS Dan Courtemanche went as far as to tell Patrick Brennan of the Enquirer, “We are all impressed.” This week Owner Carl Lindner threw out a call to action to get 25,000 supporters to the match. To drum up support he attended The Pride’s watch party this past Saturday at Molly Malone’s.

FC Cincinnati Mascot Art Contest- WCPO wants your best mascot drawing for the chance to win tickets to an FC Cincinnati game and see your mascot drawn by professional comic book artist, Matthew Swift.

FC Cincinnati Players Nab Weekly Honors- 2 FC Cincinnati players took home USL honors this week. Sean Okoli’s scissor kick goal earned him April’s Goal of the Month. Kenny Walker’s 30 yard blast against Orlando landed him on USL’s Team of the Week.

“Orange Out” vs. Pittsburgh “Bengals Edition”– The club announced they will hold an “Orange Out” for this weekend’s home game against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. FC Cincinnati will wear their new third kit which will be on sale leading up to the game. In addition, select members of the Cincinnati Bengals will serve as honorary captains. For fun we took a shot at a mock 18 with Bengals players. Take a look here and we’d love to hear your input. Upcoming Fixture: Home- Saturday, May 14th vs. Pittsburgh Riverhounds @ 4:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here or on game day at the Nippert Stadium Box Office.

Locally the game will be broadcast live on Local 12 and over the radio on ESPN1530AM. Fans can also stream via the USL YouTube channel.

Supporters Groups– 

Die Innenstadt– will meet at Mecklenburg Gardens starting at 12 p.m. with the march starting around 2:45 p.m. to Nippert Stadium. In addition to the regular activities, there will be a buffet for $12 for anyone interested.

The Pride–  will gather at the Brass Tap at U-Square starting around 1 p.m. with the march to the stadium at 3:00 p.m. Members of The Pride will receive 15% off their bill at Brass Tap.

Both groups will meet just outside the Marge Schott baseball stadium in the UC Athletic Complex around 3:10 p.m. The supporters will then march into Nippert Stadium to cheer on the Orange & Blue. If you are a casual fan, I would recommend trying to watch the supporters march.
