Support One Way San Lorenzo Soccer Team

This summer, friends of Cincinnati Soccer Talk, Jason & Kelly Hart along with their two daughters packed up their lives and moved Guatemala. They serve the village of El Rosario through a community health program that offers excellent medical care to severely malnourished infants, provides access to clean water, and fights for the future health of these infants by improving their unhealthy and unsanitary living conditions.

During his time in Guatemala, Jason has been able to merge his passion for soccer with the goal to help others. Recently he has joined up with the One Way Community Soccer Team in a local village called San Lorenzo.

The San Lorenzo soccer team's goal is to use the "Beautiful Game" to impact the lives of children in the area. It is difficult because most of these children come from single-parent homes and their families live on less than $4 a day. They’ve seen so much growth in these boys academically (many are top of their class), behaviorally, and in leadership.

They train 2-3 times a week and have probably 50+ boys playing. Every 2 weeks they go to Guatemala City to play in a league. They take 4 teams of u10- u12.

As you can understand with limited resources they lack basic soccer equipment such as access to cleats, shin guards, balls, training equipment, etc. We are looking to raise $500+ to purchase this equipment and help supplement their program. We will accept monetary donations or in-kind items.
