We absolutely love it when FC Cincinnati’s Jeff Berding takes a few minutes of his time to join us on the podcast. I’m not sure if there is a busier man in the Queen City at the moment than him. Jeff as always brings it on this episode of the podcast. We touch on the stadium, ticketing, officiating and more. Get downloading!

Highlights from this week’s show.

Boston, Bill, Yosief and I recap the 2-2 draw over the weekend against Orlando City B. A result that many of you may have mixed emotions over. For one, FC Cincinnati scored in the first 10 minutes and had a penalty kick called in their favor. But with the missed penalty, Orlando was let off the hook and they made FC Cincinnati pay. In the end, it was a thrilling finish as Danny Konig scored in 2nd half stoppage time to knot things up. If you’re doing the match this year, out of 9 possible points against Orlando, FC Cincinnati only mustered up 2. That’s not good.

Jeff Berding is THE man and he stops by the show this week to talk about the latest updates surrounding FC Cincinnati. We hit on a bunch of topics with Jeff, including the fact that he’s really excited for all 3 possible stadium locations in Cincinnati. Jeff discussed the recent contract extensions for some of the coaches and players. Last week was the owners meeting for the USL and Jeff had a chance to talk about league expansion, conference realignment, possibly a new central division in 2019 for USL and the addition of 2 more games to the USL schedule. He also made his input known when discussing officiating in the USL.

Hard to believe that this Louisville matchup is being overlooked with New York Red Bulls coming to town on Tuesday, but it kind of feels like it is. Lots of phone calls tonight discussing a potential lineup for Saturday night. Do you think Alan Koch is going to go for it or will he save some of his men for Tuesday’s huge US Open Cup semifinal?

As usual, we wrapped up the show by predicting the score in our Growler Cup contest.
